broken battery release switch

Hi everyone I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this?
you know the little thing that keeps the battery in place.
has anyone ever had to replace one of those?
it seems like it just snaps in?

I had the same thing break on me. I ordered the piece from panasonic and snapped it right in but now it just sits there. It's like if a little spring is missing or somthing. Im gonna have to take it in for repair.
 
This was an old post (I know) but I am having trouble ordering the battery release switch from Panasonic. Maybe the model (DVX100B) is just so old that the parts are difficult to look up by description. I don't know, but I have called Panasonic and they can not find the part in their system without a part number. Does anyone have a part number for this switch or know a place other than Panasonic to get one? It's getting quite tiring to have the camera shut off every time I accidentally bump the battery.

Even a good suggested for rigging it to stay in place will help. Keep in mind that I have multiple batteries of two different sizes.
