broken 30" lcd cinema display - need help

Does anyone know where i can find a replacement LCD for a 30" cinema display?

I recently came in to possession of the screen and trying to see if there is anyway to salvage before trying to sell it.


Or does anyone have any ideas of what to use the display for with a broken lcd?
 
I'm told that they're not repairable. Or at the very least that the repair would cost as much as a new unit.
 
Depends on the model but when I was trying to repair a plasma screen I had I remember one part I needed cost almost 100 bucks. There were several componets that I needed. I would just go to Walmart and buy me a new one for almost the same price as to fix it.
 
yea apple quoted $1000 for the repair.

The display was actually a craigslist win. The guy was giving it away for free, so i thought what the heck ill see if its fixable.

no, but it makes for a nice dummy screen for the editing setup, just to impress clients hahahaha!

-nah, that's just the extrememator24 media server screen.
