broadcasting cinelike gamma footage...

Hi,

I'm editing a music video recorded in the DVX100a using cinelike gamma, checking it in the waveform some whites are reaching 110 IRE, as expected.
I'll send the video to MTV in betacam for broadcasting, should I reduce it to 100 IRE or can I leave some whites over 100 ?

You need to check with the broadcast QC, but I would reduce it to 100 IRE so as to not get it kicked back. Same for blacks.

But blacks could be at zero, instead of 7.5 IRE, right ?
