Broadcast colors on transitions?

I'm a newbie to Vegas.

I have two clips that I wish to use a white flash transition on. The effect looks great, but watching the scopes, even if both clips have the 'lenient' Broadcast Colors filter on them, the transition blows the luminance way over NTSC legal limits.

How can one control this? Can you apply a Broadcast Colors filter to a transition?

Right-click on the Swanks link, and save it somewhere on your system. It doesn't seem to download properly if you just click on it.

FYI, this is just an initial test; I'm still learning the basics of working with Vegas. Cuts will be tighter, sound will be added, etc.

Instead of applying the filter to the clips, try adding it to the track or a bus. This should apply the filter to everything, including transitions.

Thank you, that was the solution... I added it to the track itself.

Glad it worked, or that would have been a massive oversight on Sony's part. :)
