Bring Cameras?

My HVX should arrive a day or 2 before class, so I plan to bring it, plus 2 4Gig P2's, and a Steadicam Merlin.

Richard

I will be bringing:

HVX200

Multiple batteries

(2) 4GB P2 cards

Marshall 7" HDA monitor with Bescor battery

503 Manfrotto tripod

Fig Rig

VariZoom Rock Focus/Iris/Zoom remote controller

Wintel laptop with PCMCIA Firewire card for external hard drive - scratch that laptop. I just found out that I only have USB1.1 on there. So I have to buy a PCMCIA USB2.0 card to really utilize a direct connection to the HVX. I have Firewire400 though. But I don't have a spare drive for offloading right now. So, I'm gonna leave my laptop at home.

--------

I also have a shotgun mic and boompole but I don't plan on bringing them unless somebody specifically makes the request.

If there is anything on this list that I should NOT bring, please tell me.

Beyond that, looking forward to the day and meeting you all!

Don't my HVX yet. Waiting on Spec-Comm. Probably won't have it by the 8th, so will be probably looking over someone's shoulder?

I'm gonna bring my cell phone....
And all the other stuff, plus my capture station/camera cart.

I'll bring my HVX, 2 4gb cards, my Redrock M2 if it's arrived by then, my Nikon lenses, and I suppose the Glidecam 4000?

I was only going to bring my HVX and my P2 cards (and cell phone), but now I feel like the bootcamp is turning into a great opportunity for everyone to check out various pieces of equipment. So, I guess I'll bring everything I have that's of any value (too much to list) for the benefit of everyone else. I'm also gonna bring a jacket in case it gets cold. Anyone with me on this?

if anyone has any type of mini 35mm adapter can you please bring that in, iam interested in seeing the setup. and some of the footage that you've shot. thanks

This would be great, Doug. I'm looking at getting the GC 4000 with the Smooth Shooter and I would love to see how well it (the 4000) works with the HVX.

Will bring:

- Camera
- Tripod
- Redrock M2 (if I get it, it's been 6 weeks)
- 1 4g p2 card
- laptop with Avid Express Pro HD

I can bring the following if needed:

- 2 dell 24 inch lcd
- c stands
- Arri fresnel kit
- location sound kit
- Glidecam 4000

What is the seating like there? Should we bring portable tables to put laptops/lcd on.

Extra HVX200

Extra HVX200

I have (1) extra camera I can rent to a bootcamper. It is pretty stock, no P2 card, but I'm sure i can rent one this weekend for you when I get mine. UV filter/bag/2 batteries/AKG CK69 shotgun. No sticks. That's it.

My main concern is damage whether accidental or not, so something will have to be worked out ahead of time.

So if anyone is interested, please private message and hopefully you can sit close by. You name the price.

I will bring a collapsible airplane hangar that measures 4 feet by 4 feet by 2 feet high on the outside, and 1000 feet by1000 feet by 40 feet high on the inside, so that we can fit all of that equipment in a single broom closet and have room left over for a political convention in it afterward. (I will manage it by simple sleight of quantum mechanics.)

cool thanks DDent for offering the rental, im sure someone will grab that so they dont feel left out.

I will bring
HVX200
2 - 4 gig P2 cards
Tripod
Apple G4 17" powerbook w/ext 300 gig FW800 drive
With Final Cut Studio
Sony MS stereo mic I often use to get decent audio (flatter non-shotgun response curve)
Sony MDR-V6 headphones I have used since the Reagan administration.

Bruno the wrestler to help carry this fine gear

3 - triple venti vanilla lattes

Terri Hatcher from "Desperate Housewives"... Oops, sorry. She just called and said she couldn't make it.

My appreciation for offering this unique event. Thankl you !

Terry and I are bringing:
HVX-200
(2) 4G P2 cards
Sticks
Macbook pro, no FCP (looking for advice to fit this into a workflow, no pcmcia slot)
We're hoping to learn from you pros how to grow this measly start into a "smokin hot" setup with monitors, audio, booms, clip storage, lighting and maybe even a teleprompter?
Thanks! Looking forward to a great day! -Dave
