I just went and saw the prescreening for "Bride Wars" due to some free tickets we received at a Bridal Show. It was better than I thought it would be. I won't delve into much, other than the fact that I don't think I can handle too many movies like this, though. I say "movies like this" as a grouping for movies that have 2 people 'getting back at each other' the whole movie. How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days is another example. I get too worked up. I can't just relax and enjoy them.
Also, toward the end, during a "sad/sweet" time, the music seemed really draggy. Not that it lingered on, but that it sounded like someone was playing with speeds on a cassette player. It really broke any mood they were going for. Kinda sucked for them, as everyone was laughing at the sad part. The weird part was, the speaking voices sounded perfectly fine. No dragging, no pitch changes. Odd.
OH, one last thing. There's a scene where the two main characters are running through a park. You know how if you stay on a person with the DVX in 24p while they move fast, then you notice the stuttering in the background, but the person looks smooth? This was the complete opposite. They looked terrible. Almost like they were processed at 8 fps, but the background was very smooth. I've never seen that happen.
