I had a shoot this weekend, had all the crew, talent and rental equipment ready and set up, went to break out the camera and it wouldn't turn on.
I tested it extensively the night before and again right before I left for the shoot. I am meticulous when it comes to looking after my gear, from gaff tape to cameras. There is no sign of physical damage to the body of the camera. When I attempt to power on, the camera does nothing, the fan doesn't turn on; there is no noise or response whatsoever. I am assuming therefore that it must have to do with the power circuits, but that is little more than an educated guess. I tried with the AC adapter as well as with the battery, same deal. When I mount the battery to the charger, the indicator light comes on, inferring that there is no damage to that part of the chain.
I am royally screwed if it is bricked, I just figured I would see if anyone had any insights or thoughts or similar experiences.
I sincerely appreciate your thoughts.
