"Breakaway from Cancer" PSA

Wonderfully done. Exposure was right where i like it on the skin outside. Mind sharing your in camera settings?

I believe we we're using B-Press, & Norm 2, with saturation/sharpening reduced. Also a bit of green as I find Japanese cameras too magenta. IRE on skin tones was 65%.

Unfortunately we keep changing configuration, & haven't settled on a setup yet. Been using Abel Cine's "Range" scene file lately, but the blacks need crushing. B-Press is my go to when I'm unsure who will grade.

Best,
Bern

B press really? Wow. With that kind of detail I was expecting to read CineD.

Thanks for the reply!

Nicely done, Bern- looks great.
The first shot with the sunlight is gorgeous, love the high angle at the intersection (cherry picker?). The highway long shots are classic.

SD card? Any hoops to jump through for broadcasting?
What lenses were used?

thanks

Nicely done

It was a group effort.

There were three operators, one a ASC member with Oscars for his landscape work, & another flying a Steadicam. It was edited by another member of our team, & graded by yet another.

We used a 80' Condor for the high angle, & the wind was buffeting the basket so much that we had to handhold the cameras. The high wind also reaked havoc on the Steadicam so we got little footage from it. Couldn't put up bouncers either.

All footage was captured on SD cards, & I wasn't involved in any post on this gig. Most of the footage was shot on the 14-140mm, plus a bit of 14-35, while the Steadicam operator used ZFs.

Best,
Bern

Love the clouds, where was the location? Great project for everyone involved.

Vincent,

I think we may have worked together long ago on an all night music video in the Valley. And another project at a grubby USC frat.

The location is in Lancaster. I've always headed east off the 14 towards the desert, this was west, toward the mountains.

Best,
Bern
