brand new dvx100a with scary noise

I have a sick feeling in my stomach because I just opened the box of my new dvx100a to find that when I picked it up ever so gently it made a hideous frightening clanking clinking noise, as if something was loose.

Is this normal?

this is completely normal. it is the image stabalizer, turn it on and yoou notice the sound is no longer there, because the stabalizer is in use. please use the search button, as this has been asked over two or three times :)

This is a normal question, so do not be ashamed to ask it.

Now, if I can just find out why my DVX100 clunks...

Thanks all. I did do a search on "noise" and nothing came up that was relevant. Perhaps I should have used "clunk" or "clank" or "clink."

You have all put my mind at ease, thanks. Thanks also for your patience as this is my second day using this site so I'm just getting up to speed. :'(

It's just a prank people play, keep saying it is completely broken and messed up... A little ceremony of acceptance. It's cool, just a joke. Other than that and some people trashing other's videos on the grabs section, the site is pure joy...
