BRAINS! - Shaun Patrick and Stewbottum

I liked this one. I don't think I could have taken any more of it though, so length is good. A good skit has to know where to end and I think this one knew where to cut it. Good deliveries from the actors. Really chuckled.

Nice work. Really nice.

I really enjoyed yours and I am glad you decided to submit this one. Good cuts on action and I agree with Ought2bCommitted you knew when to end it. I just laughed a lot and when I laugh, that means its good........to me.

I just watched that 3 times in a row. Awesome!

I think comedy is so hard to do and this was extremely clever and well executed. The actors were wonderful and the timing was perfect.

That was awesome. I showed it to everyone I know and they all laughed during it. Kudos!

Just wanted to further compliment you on everything. You not only had a good script; you had good actors, good lighting, good camera angles, and editing. You definitely had the whole package. It was well worth the time you took to make it.
 
Ha! You guys are crazy. Actually that looked really nice and the alive actors had some pretty nice timing! What a simple, goofy, fun idea done well.

Nothing happened, so why is it funny? Its an absurd situation around two regular guys (so as they communicate, we get to know how they feel - but it could be only one regular guy) and things are funny while we as an audience join the bits of the puzzle and find out about the absurd.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that. In fact that takes a good dose of intelligence and screencraft to accomplish.

But honestly, it is one joke, one situation and nothing more. There is no progression, or character development, and it lasts two minutes, precisely because only this joke could not last any longer.

Maybe nobody cares if this seems like a sketch or a film, or a fabule or a rhapsody... I'm perfeclty ok with that. To me it felt like a TV sketch, and that is all.

Under this assumption, Kevin Smith's "Clerks" is one giant sketch, and yet it works very well. Not everthing has to follow a formula to be successful.
 
I just watched this again yesterday (waiting for LoveFest). I love it. BRAINS!!!! :grin::grin::grin:
