BP vs. B?

Just like the title -- i recently purchased a dvx100bp, i will not pick it up for another 2 weeks. i wanted to know if anyone knew the difference between the B and the BP... ? It still confuses me.

Oh and THIS SITE RULES!!! any ideas for helping me deal with my incredible impatience. 2 weeks is SO LONG! thanks!!

Unless Panasonic got weird since the A model came out, the "P" just means it's the NTSC version. An "E" would be PAL (for Europe, et al.)

thanks man. i figured it meant that the XLR inputs had phantom power, but the B already had it. anyways, thanks for the help, man. -- also, can anyone give me the best levels for a film look... thats a rather broad question, i know...

what i suggest is shooting the flattest possible so you can have as much picture information as possible

using Cinelike D for dynamic range, and Cinelike Gamma will give you this result.

I keep my pedestal at 0 or even +2 the rest i keep on 0

thin line detail.
