Calling all Beantown HVX Owners/Directors/Producers. I would like to schedule an HVX/Filmmakers meeting in the heart of the City of Boston. Topics will include various different experiences that one has had while using the HVX, while other topics relating to HD filmmaking and how digital filmmakers could capitalize on the city’s new laws.

As many of you who are from Boston may already know, there have recently been new laws pasted that should encourage more independent filmmaking here in the city, therefore, it would be great to meet all who are serious about taken advantage about this new potential opportunity to keep filmmaking here in the city.

I would like to schedule a meeting on July 29th either in the Prudential Center food court, or at a local Starbucks.

I'm in, though I only have a DVX (HVX is not in our budget yet). I'd love to discuss how we are affected by the new laws. Any downtown location works.
 
A DVX is fine. I've shoot a doc that I'm working on with the DVX. I'm really surprised of the lack of response I've receieved thus far. Nevertheless, come rain or shine the meeting will take place at the Starbucks Near the old City Hall in Boston at 3:30 pm and should be about an hour or so (depending on how much coffee we drink :) )

If anyone has any questions or suggestions, feel free to let me know. See you there.

Well come on over, although I shoot with a HVX, this meeting will not be restricked to a camera brand, but will be about filmmaking in Boston as a whole. So if you have shot before(rented or own), or are seriously thinking about it, then this is for you.
 
I'm here now but there's no sign of anyone. I ended up getting directions to the other Starbucks near Government Center but finally got to the right one at 3:45pm. Looks like I might have missed you, we'll have to try again.
 
This sounds good even tho Ill be in nh ill drive for a meet up or talk about any kind of new fun project. Can we try an set somthing up for mid december at a coffee shop 2009 boston?
 
Okay if Boston or NH peeps interested I will go ahead and set the Date... How about Dec 18th, 4:00pm.

We can meet at The Red Hat. (this is next to government center)

Sounds great with me. I'm in...we can talk about the HVX/HPX--including the red workflow, and of course, anything else pertaining to beantown productions. =)

Any suggestions?

I don't own a DVX or HVX, but I work on films in the Boston area and would be interested in meeting up!
