Bordertown - what format?

I've been roaming google for over an hour now, I can´t find any detailed information about the - obviously - digital format the DP of Bordertown, Reynaldo Villalobos, has used. To me it seems, that in some shots he used a small 1/3" HD (low dynamic range, broad DOF and very strong edge enhancement) in others it looks more like 2/3" or even some 35mm format. Are there any informations available? Just to get a better idea of what you can achiev with what technology.

Nothing, nothing I could find. But it seems they shot part of it in Albuquerque and later on a second unit shot a lot in various bordertowns. So maybe that´s how they worked:
Main shooting HD and/or 35 mm, second unit with a small HDV for the discrete, documentary-like look. You can see the difference, but it is amazing how good they intercut it. That´s why this movie is interesting and I wold like to know more about the cameras they used: You can directly compare different formats in the same scene. (though not in the same shooting conditions)
