We will have a couple special guests come down to talk about real world use of the cameras, and go over Settings, Accessories, Workflow, Post Production, Lighting etc. We let the audience dictate alot of the curriculum.

You dont need to bring your cameras, but it is good if you do so you can follow along when we talk about specific menus etc..

Signing up tomorrow for DVX. The event will be my last day of summer, but I'm sure it will be well worth it. Thanks for bringing it to Chicago.

Is there an age limit. Though I would never dream of going, would a 14 year olders be "out-of-place"?

I'm SO sad, I'll be in California for my sister's wedding. Any chance you'll come back to Chicago soon?

Do you have to have your own camera?

I'm gearing up to direct a short this winter in Illinois when the snow is fresh on the ground. The script's fantastic and I'm thinking that attending this bootcamp might be a great oppurtunity to find a DP and learn about a great camera at the same time.

I'm a total GEEK, I'm going on my birthday (the August 27th session)! :)

I've never been to anything like this before, is it like a Star Trek convention? Can I dress like a Klingon?:D

what exactly are the benefits from the boot camp...?
The chance to have your mind blown by the superstars of DVXuser, Jarred Land, Barry Green, Noha Kadner and myself Evin Grant.

Specifically we:
1. Blow your visual cortex with an HD "eye candy" reel of HVX footage projected 10' across
2. Overload you cerebellum with every possible setting the HVX has to offer.
3. Make your stomach ache (Oh that's lunch)
4. Snap you medulla oblongata with the wealth of worklow tecchniques for both MAc and PC
5. Deep fry your frontal lobe with exposure and lighting demos.
6. and generally answer any silly question you can throw at us.

You also get to network with other local HVX owner/operators and show off and admire all the cool camera stuff.

If you haven't already been there....

For the August 27th session it'll be a DVX100b version of the above, correct?

ie. point #1 would be about upRez'n w/ Red Giant Instant HD & showing the results on a 5' screen? :)
