Bootcamp 1.2 Beta

Aside from bootcamp being bundled with Leopard, it appears we have a new Beta out for testing:

New graphics & isight drivers might work better with onLocation, er, DV Rack HD.

Glad to read in the another thread that onLocation won't have softwrap.

If anyone with a MacBook tries out DV Rack under the new Bootcamp before me, let me know how it goes.

Lucky me. I have a MacBook Pro. Wish it were Core 2 Duo, but you got to get off the merry-go-round at some point.

Anyway, I updated to Bootcamp 1.2 and I had a few problems. Fun stuff like BSOD and file corruption afterwards. I decided in the end that it was probably just me shooting myself in the foot. I didn't have a lot of spare space on my drive when I did the update and I think that may have been the problem. It said it installed just fine but when I rebooted, it BSOD/Crash/Rebooted in loop fashion until I intervened. I also should disclose that my network settings were whacked from being on a client site and that I just installed Parallels the week before.

Anyway, I read of a guy in the macnn.com forums that BSOD'd and then reinstalled the new drivers. Not that this was easy for me, but after a little safe mode action I got there.

Then I ran DV Rack HD and it hummed along without a hitch. I didn't try to see if the iSight driver is now compatible, leaving it disabled.
