Boom PROBLEMS!

i have the audio techina at835b...im having trouble picking up audio...i can only get the bars on my camera to move if i yelll very very loud...i tried different audio settings on my XL2 but nothing seems to work...any ideas...please HELP!! Thanks Alot

The 835b requires phantom power. If the XL2 does not have phantom power (sorry I am not knowledgable on that camera) you will need to unscrew the 835b casing and insert 2 AA batteries.

i have th same mic, and fortunately my golden dvx100b has phantom power yay!

how do you find the quality of the shotgun?

Yeah my 100a has phantom power too. It would work with my camera so you might as well send it over here.

you get a similar problem on the dvx100 when you mistakenly set the inputs to 'line' rather than 'mic' (since a higher voltage signal is expected). dont know if the xl2 has something similar (probably does).
