Boom pole in carry-on luggage?

I have managed to collect quite a few boompoles in my day but the shortest one I got is my lightwave which comes in just under 4'. I have never had an issue of it being too long in cramped conditions. For 90% of things I just love my 16' Ktek. Better to have more in reserves then come up wanting.
