do you know the difference between a 3063 head and a 3433 head? I ask because I have been looking at a 3046 Bogen with a 3433 head to buy new, but your tripod has caught my interest.

The 3433 replaced the 3063 head in the Bogen line. I believe the primary difference is that the 3433 (or 501 as it is known) has a flat base and sliding QR plate to help balance the camera, This is especially useful if you use a mattbox and rails. The 3433 also handles about 2 lbs more weight (either would be fine for a DVX) and I think it gives you more tilt, but I'm not sure about that.
