That sucks. But it should be easy to make up the $100 difference by eBaying it, since it is a $200 lens. Or at least get close. Still beats paying an extra $600 to get a 14-140 that you already own. 
Maybe they're including the cheap 14-42 so that New York camera shops will stop pulling the kit lenses out of the boxes and selling them separately on eBay.

Don't know how you did it but you were certainly right. I spoke with Panasonic, and he confirmed as well, no body only in US. Japan does have it and it will ship a week from today. Panasonic also told me that GH2 will ship in US between now and mid-november. Also, sales person at B&H said they got 10 cameras in to the store and immediately sold them. He didn't know how it happened. Odd.

Hmmm. I am a little bummed about no-body only but not totally. Think about it: less fragmentation means more cameras available on your order. Hell, I wish they only sold it in one color, I ordered black but if silver comes in first I'd take silver lol.
