Body Firmware Ver.1.4?

Hi guys, I just purchased another GH1 off eBay, serial number WE0AD...
It's got a Body firmware Ver.1.4, is this bad news in regards to the hack? All I'm getting is 'no photos to display' when I try to upgrade.
I'm following all the rules (fully charged battery etc.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No way to reset the firmware then apply the hack?
So the serial number is not the only thing to check when buying a GH1. That sucks.
 
your serial suggest its hackable. it also suggests someone has already hacked it to increment version 1.4. just change your increments to be larger than 1.4 for it to validate the update and remember to check prevent version compare to reset firmware to 0.0

I'm also getting card speed errors with a Sandisk 30mb/s class 10. Is this possible without hack settings?
 
As mentioned before, your cam could already be hacked. I guess you bought it used, so the seller hacked it.
Normaly you shouldn't get write speed errors. Check the bitrates of your videos, then you know if you've got a hacked gh1.

And as Mr Fanny said, to hack it once again with your desired settings, change increments to larger than 1.4 and check prevent version compare in ptools.
