BNC on the DVX...

I was told that the new Canon XL2 when ever it is supposed to come out will have a BNC adapter built right into the camera so you can plug in the thicker video cable....I hope Panasonic adds that for a future DVX100 by that time it might be called DVX200!

Technically you can hook up one of those cables to the DVX100 because I have done it at work. But you have to get a few adapters like a BNC to RCA then run the RCA cable to the camera. I had my camera hooked up to the Live Truck at work one night so the engineers back at the station could see my picture!

Re: BNC on the DVX...

I'd also prefer that the DVX had a BNC out, but since RCA-BNC adapters cost about $2, it doesn't seem that big of an issue. You can get adapters to use a standard BNC or an RCA cable to a monitor. As far as the XL2 goes--they keep adding features and it isn't even out yet :-) Talk about a cottage industry in pure speculation.
