BMX Web Video/Brevis

I haven't posted anything in a while but I though this might be cool to put up.

We shot this back in January/February and put the edit together last week.

The intro was shot with the Brevis 35 adaptor using 50 and 85mm lenses. We also used an indie dolly and an 8ft. kessler crane.

The rest of the video was shot stock lens. Let me know what you think.

looks great, i really liked the way you physically made those letters and put them there so they could run into them etc. That was a nice touch. Great crane movements and dolly shots as well. I liked it.

wow, thats some of the best skate/bmx footage and editing i have seen! Really top notch, and the intro letters was great.. at first i thought it was done in post, but after watching a second time it looks like real letters

Ditto. That is some simply AWESOME Stuff. It's also different and varied so not just the same locations and same tricks.. but a major variety and your editing choices and camera placement and movement is simply impeccable. I loved everything about this and you have some real MONEY shots all the way through this. The couple of dirt jumps are just insane and theres one in the bowl when he spins so friggin fast its' just awesome. I'd actually like to see that one shot slowed down in post just to see what exactly he did so damn fast.

MAN this is just awesome. Please tell me you have plans to put out a 45 minute piece and sell it. Get yourself some great music.. do more shooting in the same vein and you'll have a nice hit on your hands. I would want one for sure... and I'm sure so many other people would too.

A few years back I had the greatest time shooting a bike Trials video and it turned out really nicely but got botched at the distro level with some personal matters of the producer's.. but it was so much fun to do and this thing you have looks way better than what we got accomplish.

You should be proud of this and get it out to the masses. I'm down for a review copy and would simply love to get to see more of this. You got some WOW factor in there for sure. Thanks for sharring and I do think this is the best X sports stuff I've seen on this site.. hands down. Simply slick as all get up... CHEERS BRO!

you can check out mutiny movie stokedo n being pumped.

it's an awsome movie.

btw that video was really good. are you shooting 30p?

Thanks for all the great comments. This is a short piece we made just for the web. We did release a full length DVD/Blu-ray back in November called stoked on being pumped, you can see the trailer here - www.stokedonbeingpumped.com . If you would like to pick up this video in either Blu-ray or DVD you can get it here - www.empirebmx.com

The Stoked on Being Pumped video was shot in 30p. This web video was shot in 24p.

The indie dolly is the one we used for this shoot. I really like it! You can even ride on it if you have enough hands on set. Unfortunately for this shoot I was solo, so i had to do all the work haha. Push the dolly, pan the camera, pull the focus. It's always good training to be able to multi task!

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said - but here, have a large chunk of my admiration!
That rocked - I'm a big trick fan - I don't really care what it is, skateboards, bikes, skates, kites.. whatever - so it's really really easy to trawl through a lot of rubbish.

But what a beautifully shot and edited piece. It's hard to keep energy and attention up in a 10 odd min piece, but I was gripped by every trick.

stunning work
