I really cant remember when he got linked up with Red. If I remember correctly it was sometime before scarlet came out, but after scarletuser was up and running. There was a big fallout over all the changes and people being pissed. Thats really why scarletuser shut down. Now reduser is basically Red's 1st party forum.

Jim Jannard was a user on DVXuser before RED came into being. It was sortof hatched out of this forum. They had a RED section, then they started Reduser.net / Later on Jarred started working for RED.

I understand that. What I find odd is that he also owns the BMCUser forum. BMD announced their first camera in 2012 - well into RED's product lifecycles. Jarred owning DVXUser is not surprising. I do find it odd that he owns BMCUser though...

At the time, there was nothing competing for the same space as Scarlet/Epic.

I think its safe to assume that the 4.6 mini is quite the camera...

Guys, Jarred owns Landmine Media. Not only that, but he is a firm believer in nurturing filmmakers of all stripes. If you've spent any time here or RedUser since 2003 you'd get the distinct feeling that he's not petty about this kind of stuff and wouldn't drop the BMCUser domain out of some kind of corporate spite.
