Hi all,
Ok, this ones a bit strange, I’ve posted on this subject before but had no response.
After shooting with V-Detail thin I noticed that my shots looked slightly soft {focus wise} and initially put it down to operational error. However after doing some tests it seems that there is an issue with my camera. I’ve set up 2 CU’s of a back focus star chart and the shots are identical apart from Vdetail settings. Upon viewing, the shot with Vdetail THIN looks softer! Is this normal? It looks like the focus has shifted off but I haven’t changed it at all. If anything I would have thought that Vdetail thin would be sharper!?
I’ve made some bitmap stills and placed them on separate layers in Photoshop so I can switch between each to examine them. When blown up you can see that shot Vdetail thin has more resolution detail but it definitely looks softer! Any Ideas why? I can upload these stills if someone tells me how so you can see for yourself.
Any thoughts and comments much appreciated.
