who likes to listen to the blues and who's your favorite. right now i'm listening to Lightening Hopkins on the cable:crybaby: :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) :love4:

Buddy Guy is amazing. Just like HORSE I saw them together. It was at an ampitheater in Georgia and I went for BB not knowing much about Buddy and man was I blown away. They threatened to fine him $10k if he didn't turn it down. He said he turned it down, but didn't if I remember right. One of the best times I've ever had. now I own a bunch of Buddy Guy stuff. Check out "Feels Like Rain" puts me in an indie filmmaking mood for some reason.

HORSE: That avatar is amazing freaky...I love it.

Later,

blues boy and buddy guy! wow! i saw BB last in MAUI outdoor concert in 02. i've yet to see buddy live only on the tv.

Hendrix, electric church blues... Band of Gypsys and a lot of his unreleased bootlegs solidify (for me) the impression that he was taking it to a new place.

I do love the old stuff, though, when folk and blues were closer.

BB King, Buddy Guy, Coco Montoya, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and then the 60's Brtitish Blues...Savoy Brown, Fleetwood Mac (original lineup), John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. And how about Gary Moore?

For those who don't know, Peter Green replaced Eric Clapton in John Mayall's Blues Breakers before forming his own blues group: Fleetwood Mac. As an interesting side note, Green is the composer of "Black Magic Woman."
