Well this seems to be a major issue that probably requires an authorized service center but I thought i'd throw it out there just in case someone has experienced this before.
No matter what when in record (not vcr) mode, I get this strobing blue in the viewer and lcd. It strobes between the blue and the image i am trying to record. It is definitely the same blue as the background when in the menu settings and whatnot.
It also records this flashing to tape.
It did it earlier today for a minute and then stopped all of a sudden.
Then in the middle of a shoot (live band performance!) it started again only this time it won't stop .... 12 hours later still flashing blue.
This is what I've tried so far.... reset / restore scene file settings / changing tapes / changing batteries / cleaning heads / changing shutter speeds .. on .. off / and double checked every possible menu setting, exterior setting etc...
If anybody has experienced this or knows of a possible cause, please let me know.
This camera only has 28 hours on it and could not have happened at a worse possible time. The camera was never dropped or damaged in anyway, I am certain.
Oh .. it also does this whether in pause or record.
Also if anyone knows of an ULTRA FAST/ Reliable service center anywhere in the midwest, please let me know as well.
Thanks for being there,
