Blue Screen?

So today I turned my DVX100b on to film some night time riding and after a few minutes the screen went blue and only had the battery indicator on. None of the buttons would work except to turn it on and off. Does anyone know what this problem is and how to fix it.

Also I am in a high humidity area and had taken the camera from an air conditioned house out into the hot humid weather.

Could be a bunch of things. For starters any time you take a camera from AC to heat and humidity you need to give the camera time to acclimate or you risk not being able to do anything for some time while it does. Could be 10 minutes. Could be 30 or more. The blue screen could be as simple as dirty heads. Try to clean them - search these forums for lots of info on this. Good luck!

Let it sit awhile. It may have sensed moisture inside.

You should keep the cam inside a plastic bag when going from one extreme temperature to another. Take it out of the bag after you think it has acclimated.
