Hi guys. I needed a image for my new horror feature 'The Electric Company'
Used blue screen cloth. Shot in my kitchen.

Added a few other tests. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Geez man, very cool... Love the way that red looks.

Is there a video of this, or is the title a still? It'd be cool to see it light up, then flicker, then shut off (or something like that).

The Far Right picture of the light bulb looks cool. It looks like there is a skull face in the bulb. Neat!!

I shot the blood into the bulb, (skull I tried to add in with the lights), working it into a trailer mixed with lightwave.

The bulb looks really cool. You need some better text to go with it. Too Photoshop.

This is how I feel about it, I may be wrong, so feel free to ignore me.

I'd put some hot spots back on the lightbulb, its hard to tell what it is now. And the picture looks very flat and boring, it needs something to make everything pop, or maybe make it look more gritty and textury(the whole thing not the lightbulb). I know this is just a test, but to me right now it looks like you took a picture of a lightbulb squished it, changed the colors and then threw some text on it. I don't know exactly what you are using for, black is cool and all but maybe if you had a dark shot of the location you are shooting at in the background or something, it would carry more depth and be creepier. I donno I hate to be vague, I think it has potential to be cool, I'd like to see how you use it. Again, I probably don't know what im talking about, but I would like to see how this turns out and to see your movie.

Cool looks! Have you already shot this film or are you making the poster first? Just curious. I know some people will make a poster or something like that first to kind of inspire them to work on the film itself.

Anyway, on the first poster I would try either making the skull a little more subtle even...I like the way you have started smudging/smearing the left side of it...it starts to blend in with the clouds a little bit. Perhaps more of that on the skull itself so that it looks more like clouds until you look closer and realize it is a skull.

Or, perhaps (and maybe this is a bit cheezy) you could have the bulb be a part of one of the skulls eye sockets...just a thought. You would have to change the composition of the poster a bit to make it work...

Anyway, cool looks!

I like the color of the second one better.

Why don't just have the color of the second and only the skull light bulb filling most of the poster or just thought even the moon being the top of the light bulb.

But I think I like my first idea better, just have the light bulb skull.

I'm just messing around at the moment with images. It's all scripted/ storyboards.
I wanted to shoot on HD and so I had put off on production because of expense
...but now....yeeeeaaaahhh!
I'm aming to produce and shoot as soon as I get my hands on the new little lifesaver.

Oh and for anyone who knows my work, I won't be in it for once!
Even though...there is a nice little part, he's only in one scene...hehe

I think the lightbulb image on it's own might work the best.

I was trying to come up with a way to describe the angle you should go for, but I don't really know what your film is about, and I was having a hard time verbalizing it. So I whipped this up to show you what I think you should go for when creating a poster/dvd cover.

Simple element based imagery, sky, spooky power plant, skull, greenish blue tint. In your second image you seem to have blended in two houses on top of another, and I don't know where you're going with that, the water as well is somewhat confusing. Tell the story with your image.

The first image is much more clearly defined, it says to me "Death is coming to this house". Where I went with this image is "Death is brewing at the evil power plant". I hope this helps you see what I mean.

Keep it simple and use elements from your story to create the image.

I want ....Death is living in this house...
That is one evil powerstation. Lets call it...'The PowerStation of certain death...if you get too close'
Nice image man.
