blue noise in blacks

I have a feeling it's a white/black balancing problem, but I just want to make sure.

Twice now I've shot weddings and the receptions were very dark, I'd get a lot of blue noise in the dark areas of video. I would rewhite balance and often get the low light warning.

Has anyone else ever gotten the blue noise in darker video in low light?

I changed some of the scene file settings to (if i remember correctly)

detail +3
master ped +3
chroma level -3
color temp -3 (i think)

that pretty much took out most of the blue noise in the wedding i shot last weekend

For the first wedding i shot where i encountered this, i just fixed it in post and it turned out fine. Once I get the internet at home, I can post some pictures to show what I mean

Anything noise-related, you want to turn Detail down and Coring up to make it better.

In indoor settings, blue light is severely lacking, so in those situations, you'll get more noise in the blue channel than any other, and that can show. You need more light overall, but preferably some daylight-balanced light that has more respectable blue levels. That may not be possible in a wedding settings, so work the Detail and Coring, and see if that helps.

Beyond Josh's DETAIL & CORING tips, it looks like you're doing the right thing with COLOR TEMP. (I just caps them because that's how they are in the menu).

Since you're going -3, you're 'warming' the blue's back over. That's a good thing. Just double-check skin tones to make sure it's not too much. -3 is still pretty conservative on warming though.
