Blue / Green screen setup TUTORIAL

good tutorial for beginners but you should have ironed the sheet first, add a little starch too.

thnx for the comment... yeah in a perfect setting I would have done a lot of things differently. But in a real world shooting scenario where we're traveling from location to location and then have a verylimited time to do some blue screen shots, that's the best I could do. We barely got into the location when I had to have the PA's pull the blue screen out of the back of the stuffed trunk. There is no way we could have had the time to iron out the whole blue screen. But Ive seen the first effects shots done from this shoot and the footage keys out perfectly. Specialy good since I was nervous about the low bit rate of the images that come out of the Canon 7D.

A garment steamer - the kind with a stand & long hose - is your very bestest friend for this stuff. You can get the screen up & lit while the water is heating. Then just get the deepest wrinkles (shadows) out. You don't have to make the whole thing perfect, but one look at your monitor and you'll see what needs a hit. They work FAST. I got mine for like $140.

Check this bad boy out - the stand even collapses to pack it up.

Also handy for location wardrobe touch ups. Just be warned, that steam is HOT - it'll scald the daylights out of you.
