Blu Ray to mp4

Hi,

a client of mine got blu ray discs with their commercials on it,
about 1,5 hours of material.
They have not got the original files for some strange reasons and want me
to get the films off the blu ray in mp4 format so they can use them on their
computers, send them via email and so on.

I am on a macbook pro (core i7) and unfortunately got no idea how to do that.
How can I even get a bluray to work on my computer or get the data off it?

Can anyone explain me what to do?

Thanks a lot!!

You cant, you need need a blueray disc reader. Your best bet is to find a cheap USB Blueray reader. Then from there, you can use:
HandBrake
Download HandBrake for Mac - Versatile video encoder; convert any source to MPEG-4 and more. MacUpdate.com
or
MPEG Streamclip
Download MPEG Streamclip for Mac - Convert MPEG-1/MPEG-2 files, transport streams in several formats. MacUpdate.com
Both are free and pretty simple to use, Handbrake being the easiest of all.
What you really need to find out, is the intended size of the files and quality they want. Since BlueRay leads me to believe your working with rather large/long video files?
Converting a standard full length DVD at "Normal" gives you a file around 700-1000MB. "High Profile" can almost double that. And that is from just DVDs.
