Blu Ray Disc Authoring in Premiere CS3

I just finished up my latest project on the HMC150, and wanted to burn a Blu Ray disc to see how good it would look. I work in Adobe Premiere Pro CS3. I shot it all in 720/60p.

Problem is, whenever I go to Media Encoder, select MPEG2 Blu-Ray and select "PCM" for the audio codec, it gives me a message that says it is not compatible with Blu Ray.
So I select "Dolby Digital", and get a message that I need to pay $295 for activation!!! Ouch. Is there any way around paying this, or do I just burn SD DVD's and forget about HD, as I do not want to pay $295 just to see if I like how Blu Ray discs look on my projects.

How do you guys author Blu Ray? What workflow do you recommend?
Thanks in advance--

Try puting a blank audio file in with the video and see if it will encode out so you can see what it looks like.

Good luck

What version of Premiere Pro?

I can export MPEG2 Blu-ray with PCM audio without any problem from Premiere Pro CS3.2.

Al,
I am only offered the two choices, PCM which it says is "incompatible" or "Dolby Digital". No other options are available.

I am running Premiere Pro CS3, version 3.2 and think I should be able to use with PCM. But it ain't lettin' me do it.

What a fine way to start the new year!

I tried to recreate (without a blu ray recorder) the media encoder setup you have on cs3 3.2. I was not able to use Dolby Digital...no surcode...I was able to use the pcm however.
I have no blue ray recorder, but the files did write for the timeline sequence I chose. I don't know if you get a grayed out dialog button or an error message, but Adobe tech support is one of the better experiences you will have for the "1-800" kinda thing. It's free, give them a shot.

I get an error message....will call Adobe Monday, I guess. Thanks for your help in getting this sorted out--
