Bloodshot Eyes?

[walked]

I have one take in an upcoming short where I need someone to have bloodshot eyes for... 3 seconds maybe?

Really, simple shot - but I cant find a good solution for bloodshot eyes on a budget (contacts arent affordable).

Any ideas beyond having them rub their eyes for a few seconds?

Thanks, google didnt help at all.

This is a free solution, providing you have AE and can use it.

I have it at work, but dont get to use it often (I'm IT staff, not marketing / creative here). I may see about playing around with that, I'm pretty handy with software (and have experience modelling), so that may be a good choice.

Thanks, hadnt thought about post-production for it.

Throw salt directly into their eyes without warning.

you could ask your talent to cut up onions or touch the onion and rub there eyes.... of course make sure they dont have any allergies first.
