Blood Flying Everywhere... Protect your equipment?

So... for those of you that do have tons of blood, brains, guts, ect. being splattered around set, how do you protect your DVX, 35mm adaptor, tripods, lights, ect.? Especialy the DVX.

On the last shoot I was ACing on, we used cheap painters tarps for the floor and camera. They are large and cheap. There's not much you can do about the lights - I guess you could wrap them in cello, but that would get quite expensive.

plastic grocery bags! (although we still did manage to get a few blood spots on the lens ... eek.)

You should be using a UV filter, if for nothing else but to protect that valuable lens. :)

Please make sure you put a glass filter in front of the lens. If anything, that's the one thing you absolutely must protect.

Yep... good advice. I ALWAYS have one on... especially when like dirt gets on the lens... it's cheap to replace a UV filter.
