Blinking RED X ? HELP

If I've been shooting....once I stop recording...then start again...I'm seeing a blinking RED X in the top right corner of my viewfinder. The only way to get it to go away is to turn the camera off and restart. The first recording sequence is fine...stop...recored again and X is back! Can't find in the manual. Footage, hoever is fine. Anyone know?

Hello Guys,

Try playing a cleaner tape for 5-10 seconds, then insert a brand new 63 minute Panasonic MQ tape into the DVX. FF the whole way to the end, then REW to the beginning of the tape. That may clear up any pesky head cloggs if you're in a pinch.
