BlackMagic - URSA Mini

Not sure if you're referring to my site above, but I co-run 4KShooters.net and we haven't ran the "new" footage as it's most certainly not new, but we did run some new footage from the 4K (old sensor) URSA recently that our readers submitted to us and we liked.

That 4.6k footage/demo reel in questions was available on BMD's official website, but I am guessing a lot of people hand't seen it, as the embed was disabled.

Although we love BMD cameras, (I shot my feature film on the BMCC EF) we're not affiliated/sponsored with/by BMD or any other manufacturer.

I very sorry, your right. My stupid mistake. I ment nofilmschool. Get confused by al that many great sites I search for news, tips and tricks every day. :)

Embedding was disabled for a long time with my 4.6K video, but we enabled it recently so some places shared it (again) because they could finally embed it.

Allright thanks for the explanation. Does it mean thing are moving right now? Or is it just random?

Marco Solorio - Working With Blackmagic Technology Part 1: The New 4.6K Sensor

OneRiver Media’s Marco Solorio has been spending some time with a pre-production URSA mini camera using Blackmagic’s new 4.6K sensor. Marco hasn’t been allowed to share any footage from the camera yet, but praises its dynamic range, skin tone rendition and colour fidelity. He even goes on to say the footage is comparable to material shot on on an ARRI Alexa.

Really......footage comparable to an Alexa? (would like to see footage when available). What about low light capabilities? I hope this camera is what we are expecting. Of course we'll see when actual production models are in hand. Hope all goes well for this company......!!!

With all due respect, the Alexa came out 5 years ago. The image looks great, and I'll be the first to say newer ain't always better, but something looking as good as an Alexa is not like this totally ludicrous impossibility.
