How long do each of those batteries typically hold a charge for? Have you ever used these :http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ..._pb70_bmcc_Powerbase_70_Battery_Pack_for.html ? How do they compare? Obviously they aren't 14.8 v but what's their voltage? I know that Black Magic cameras are notorious for having very short battery life.

Almost all the in-camera batteries last about the same. About 25 minutes if you turn the camera on and hit record and leave it recording.
If you're going in and out of record they will last a tad longer.
These batteries are SO CHEAP that I strongly urge anyone too just buy the Blackmagic ones.

Each and every battery of this type will deplete a little slower or faster - they're not that exact.

The bigger factor is how old they are. No matter what brand you get, they will age fairly quickly if you use them frequently.

That Switronix is great - but it is probably THE MOST expensive battery you can possibly get for a BMPCC.

I have 3 of these (among others) - they are little screw-on plates that hold Sony NP-style batteries. And they're only $55.

The largest (NP-970) will last nearly as long as that Switronix at a fraction of the price. Plus you can get the smaller and lighter NP-770 if you want less weight and don't need as long a run time or can do a swap out after an hour or two. There's even the smaller and lighter NP-570 that will still last longer than a BMPCC battery.

Also, so much other stuff uses NP batteries that it's likely you already have some.

Buy the WASABI POWER brand and save a ton of money.

Thanks! I really appreciate this information. I have been looking for some decent batteries for cheap.
