This is what I've been waiting for. Now I can use my netbook as an external monitor and maybe even a capture device if it can keep up (I know someone using the same model of netbook to capture hvx footage). I have a Lenovo s10 which is unique among netbooks for it's expresscard slot...

If you don't have USB 3, you can't use this. PCI Express isn't ExpressCard -- it's a motherboard slot.

Never mentioned anything about PCI Express. That's why I linked to the USB 3.0 expresscard. So you can add USB 3.0 to your laptop...

Wonder if it would work if a USB PCI-E Mac compatible board becomes available

Like I said I have a buddy who is recording to his Lenovo netbook (via firewire). I'm not sure if it's uncompressed or not though. But even if I can't capture unless I have a full size PC (with faster HDDs and USB 3.0), this still would make a damn good alternative to spending $300-$1000 on a monitor if you have a laptop already. I just found out it's not out 'til May...
