Wooden camera came out with a black magic evf modification kit, ive been waiting for this since they posted it on instagram. see below
http://woodencamera.com/Blackmagic-EVF-Modification-Kit-Plus-UVF-Mount.html
i was really excited about using the black magic evf on the fs7 since the one on the fs7 isnt tmy favorite, i really didnt like any of the other options out there. Today wooden camera finally made it available for purchase! However in the description for the product it reads this "Please note that some cameras and devices may not work with the HD-SDI input due to signal format variations". and these are the cameras that do work "Confirmed working cameras include Phantom FLEX 4K, ARRI Alexa/Alexa Mini, RED Epic/Scarlet, Blackmagic URSA, URSA Mini, Cinema Camera, Studio Camera, and Micro Studio Camera."
i contacted wooden camera to see if they fs7 did work with the finder and this was there response "We've had reports of the FS7 outputting a format that is not compatible with the Blackmagic EVF but I have not seen it in person to verify that. I believe is has something to do with Sony's PSF format."
If anyone has information if the fs7 does indeed work with this evf id love to know and love to be able to use this evf with my fs7. thanks
