F55: Black screen when switching to raw and the camera needs a reboot, is this normal?

Hi
just got my self a used f55, made 2/2013. As i hook up the raw recorder set the main opertion to raw from base settings the screen turns black and i need to power off the camera and turn it back on in order to get the anything showing when selecting raw. After this reboot the camera records raw without a problem. However if i switch the operation away from raw and back to raw once again i need a reboot to get the image back on.

Is this normal with F55 or do i need to send this camera to repairs?
 
On my F5 with firmware 4.1, it reboots itself when I switch to CineEI mode, or back. No need to manually shut down and restart, it does it all by itself.
 
sami2 what firmware are you running? Not to state the obvious, but you should update to the latest. Running the latest firmware when I put the F55 with R5 into RAW mode, I do not have to power the camera down and on again manually.
