Black balancing without white balancing

Hello

Can I do only a black balance without changing the color temperature channel on the AF100 or doing a new white balance?

Thanks!

Cover the lens, or dial-in too much ND, then Black Balance.

The camera will display some warning about the light being too low to White Balance, & retain the previous setting, but it will still properely Black Balance.

Another way would be to flip the camera over to a preset white balance (3.2K or 5.6K); then when you black balance it won't change the white, and you can flip the switch back to your manual white balance.

I wanted not to switch the channels, because in your AF100 book I read that one should make a black balance every time after switching the white balance channels.

Just to be clear, does the white balance occur every time even when holding the button down for black balance only? I thought that by holding the WB button down, that you could do a black balance only and there was no need to cover the lense?
