Blacckmagic Hyper Shuttle Deck?

I've been looking at this for about 2 weeks now. It bypasses the P2 workflow. You just record to the SSDs. It's pretty amazing for the price. The HPX170 has 1920 pixels horizontally but when you use the DVC PRO format it gets squeezed down to 1440. Which has always annoyed me. With this you actually capture at 1920 along with no compression.

It depends what you want to use it for. But if you are a feature filmmaker it's awesome.
 
I've invested 26 hundred dollars in two 64 GB P2 cards.
Will stick with that for while even though the Hyper Shuttle will provide marginally better footage.

Are P2 cards being phased out?
Bet no one has asked that question before!
 
P2 being phased out? I would think Panasonic would disagree. More new P2 cameras were introduced at NAB, than SD-card cameras were.
 
goodie more wires. Lol no thanks. I had a huge head trauma from the firestore do not need a repeat of that crap. Might be something down the line i would check out but in no way is it for me.
