Bitrate question

I have a question about bitrate.
I installed the hack using Andrew Reid's guide from EOSHD . com
So my settings are the "c" settings.
When i use log and transfer in FCP and then check the item properties of the clips i've imported, it says that the data rate is between 12-14 MB/sec (which seems quite low)

When i export these clips as a .MOV and open them in Quicktime and press cmd + i for info, it says that the data rate is 115+ MB/sec.

This doesn't really make sense to me, so i was hoping that someone could tell me how to check the bitrate properly.

If you export them in another format, then they are recoded, so your 115+MB/sec doesn't mean anything.

okay, so should I rely on the 12-14 MB/sec? That seems really low.
Or is there another way to check the bitrate?

Thanks a lot!
According to Mediainfo the data rate is around 35 MB/sec, so thats great :)
However, it says maximum bit rate = 16.6 MB/sec. Does this have anything to do with limiting bitrate options? I have seen people write stuff like: AVCHD Limiting Bitrate = 60000000. But i didn't find this option in the ptool?
