Bit-rate questions

Really? I keep hearing so much about how much better AE CC is supposed to be, and of people going out of their way to CC in it... could it be that those are film-out projects? What about for a 4:2:2 Blue Ray, still no added value?

Off topic info/comment: I saw a BR-Burner for $650 yesterday! We are almost there... the price drops should speed up once people start buying in... hopefully I'll be able to submit this project in 1080p without having to ask for a favor from someone to burn it for me.

I posted this question in user films and I'm getting reads but no input. I'm trying to identify a problem before it happens to me. I'm a diver and the video my post points to below scares me. Your explanation of the color/bit thing may be the answer. Could you comment?
Thanks!

I just got back from a dive video show and one of the presenters listed his web site for the video he shot...I'm trying to figure out what settings he used for this dive piece...The video is listed on this page as a high def file. It's solarised and appears to be interlaced, but VLC lists the format as 720 which I thought could only be progressive. As I've said before, I'm a simple man with simple ways...any body know what this is or what the cause of the solarised interlaced look?

I remember when WNWO was WDHO, ABC, and everyone kinda made fun of it.

Anyway, that just looks like really highly-compressed WMV coding. Doesn't have so much to do with color correction per se; it's the compression level of the video.
