Birds of Prey on the 500

That was very cool... even though I was expecting the DC Comic book characters. That was probably even nicer than a crappy fan film :)

Birds of Prey was even a short lived series on the WB. It was the retired (And crippled) Batgirl, and the Daughter of Batman and Catwoman, and the Daughter of Black Canary. Geez... does that make me sound like a geek?

I think that this camera is worth double the money if you see what pictures are coming out of the camera, every time I make docs or even commercials I'm surprised, I work with a lot of ather shoulder cameras as wel and even much more expensive ones but thisstill is my favourite if it comes to picture quality ad feel. It's an amazing camera.
Love your film btw

Lens is just the Canon KJ16e 7.7. No lens filter - straight glass. The only fiddling we did was adjust some of the setting to the "digineg" scene file from panny. Kept the shutter fairly high and ran anywhere from 2 - 4.5 on the iris.

That would have looked so much better if it was shot with an EX-1 or if you had a real HD 42" viewfinder with 75 million pixels in 12 trillion colors:)

Nice camera work and good job trying to get focus on such a fast moving target. You definitely make the 500 look good!

Nice stuff.
One of the things I've noticed about this camera over the last couple of years is it's ability to bring an almost filmic quality to the screen. It's not that super sharp max HD look but it sure is pretty with the right subject matter.

Wow, I just became 7 years old again. I was always fascinated with birds of prey and you've gotten some damn fine footage on a damn fine camera. I'd like to see the CMOS turds get footage like this! Great material.

looks amazing, and I RARELY say that. If you can impress me you've done a good job. I used to photograph endangered birds with my Nikon and a 300 f2.8 (really 450mm and MANUAL LENS at that) so I know how hard it really is to focus on moving birds. The footage of the HPX500 always just looks super smooth, never any noise. Its like glass.
