is that Daytona?Well, Bikeweek starts in a week, so I've been saving up![]()
is that Daytona?
No. In Florida you have to take the class to get a license, and the test - both written and practical - is taken as part of the class. You then take the certificate to the DMV and they will give you a license on the spot. I think you may have to pay a small fee for the new license. Somewhere between $10 and $20 bucks. Same fee as if you need to replace your license.license class at a Harley dealership?.........it's just a class before he goes to the DMV right?
wow it's been awhile for me because i don't remember any of this....i've always had a license but i think Fl at one time didn't require a cm1 before but i could be mistaken....i know i drove around without one back in the day.No. In Florida you have to take the class to get a license, and the test - both written and practical - is taken as part of the class. You can no longer take a motorcycle license test at the DMV, nor can you take the written test there. As of July -08.
I don't know if this is "good" or "bad", but it is the law. I think it is good that a class is required before you can legally ride a bike, but that is just my opinion. Which is heavily biased by coming from a different country and hence a different licensing system.
wow i saw one advertised in a magazine.... i thought it was pretty kool.Got to see how the hit-air vest worked, tonight. Now I need a replacement gas cylinder. Should have taken them up on the offer to throw in an extra, when I got the vest.
One busted right-turn indicator lens plus some scuffing on the right cylinder protector and head cover.
Drat.
Well, at least you didn't do it on purpose![]()
i just saw thisyeah, sometimes it will save you on insurance, and put you in the short line that doesn't have to take the test. At least, that's how it used to be. Of course, i remember not needing the validation to ride, just a regular driver's license.
