to start things off.. its broke, i think.

i was skating today, with the camera in my hand, a guy just came out of nowhere with his coffee in his hand and ran into me. i fell down and luckily the fisheye didnt get scratched or dented even a dab! but... the camera body by the battery section of the camera has been bent maybe less than 1 centimeter. also, when i try to take out the tape, the ejection button works, but the tape still stays in and wont eject out. i keep trying to turn the camera on with the battery in but its not working at all :/

other than that... everything else on the camera looks to be fine but the battery part of the cam smacked the ground pretty dang hard.

id love to know how to maybe fix it, where to send it into, where to take it, or anything else that might work! i live in the Portland, OR area if anyone from around here might now also to a local shop.

also if anyone might now how much $money$ it will cost that would be great!

thank you so very much!

Well, we can't see the damage since you didn't provide a pic, but even if you did I don't think we'd have any idea. If it has body damage to the magnesium frame you'd probably be looking at more money than it's worth to take all the parts out of it and put it into a new body/frame. If you can't access the tape deck, then maybe it could continue life as a feeder cam for a firestore system.

I lived in New York City, and I send all repairs to Nivie Electronics in Brooklyn, NY. They're an authorized Panasonic repair center that fix products from around the world.
