Big Screen Wow from a Cynic

There are 2 ways to look at this. First, you can use a really good (and expensive) monitor to show your clients the best possible picture. But when they view your work on their own monitors, they might be disappointed. On the other hand, if you have a mid-range monitor, you can show your clients exactly what they're going to get on their own monitor. Which way you choose depends on your philosophy and bank account.

DVI out to PC in off FCP timeline

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to chime in. I ran a sample reel of mine off the timeline in FCP with the DVi out to my 40 samsung HD TV and was blown away. Now granted it only shows the true 720p so the 1080 stuff may have some up rez going on in the TV but I love looking at my footage on that TV. I am waiting for NAB to see if there are any external firewire blueray burners because i would love to have a portable burner with to archive footage from my P2 cards and burn a Blueray disc for a client on the road. Sorry for jumping the thread but this just crossed my mind.

JK
