Big difference between non-variable glass screw-on ND filters?

I've pretty much maxed out the amount I can spend on gear right now, but need an ND for this FS100. I've decided I want to avoid the issues that come with variable/fader NDs in my budget (can't afford a heliopan/sigh-ray)… so I am going with screw ons. I'll put up with the annoyance of stacking/replacing them for shots... I can always upgrade to a good vari in the future.

I can afford the 4 pack Tiffen 'Indie' kit (and hear it totally rules/is sharper than all the faders), but was wondering if there really is a noticeable difference - mainly in sharpness - between that line and some screw on glass NDs that I am seeing at half the price?

Are the HOYA kit and lower-level TIFFEN kit I've linked to below any good? Any others that are less expensive that you have had good luck with? I know it might seem silly to split hairs over such a small difference - but I really did cut all this pretty close budget wise. Thanks a bunch!

Even 1.2 is not dark enough in sunny day... and .3, 0.6 alomst useless ... I have Tiffen O.9 filters... but since I've got NISI Fader 2-400 filters Set I don't need them anymore .. :)

I agree with Serg all you need are the .9 and 1.2 Use the extra cash to get the tiffen IRND or upgrade to B+W filters.

SKIP the hoya they have a purple tint.

I have the Tiffen Indie Kit too. They are optically great filters. I agree too that .3 and .6 are not nearly as helpful if you are shooting in the middle of the day.
