He posted to sell a sachtler video 10 for $800... sent him the money..never heard from him for 4days...filed a dispute wit paypal..he sent an incomplete tripod... report the tracking number to paypal..got my money...when i got in touch with him he told me he sent the remaning part.. gave me a tracking number for the rest of the tripod.. it was all fake..and he had changed the number i could reach him by.....i hv mails ..private msgs to back my claim...His karma will catch up with HIM... GUYS BEWARE...I hv benefited somuch..met somany gud pple...learnt so much beign a member of this community..we need to do our best collectively to rid this community of thieves like "micheal J. Strange since I bought a Sachtler Video 18 head from him with very little problems. The communications was spotty, but he was out on a multi day shoot with limited internet.

Tripod was delivered last Friday, I expedited shipping and paid for 2 day delivery (57.00), which Robert did not pay for. When it arrived, he called to tell me the handle was missing. I went to UPS and found that when they were trying to put it in the box to ship, they removed the handle and had laid it to the side and shipped it without the handle. So UPS sent the handle out via another package. It arrived today.

Last Friday, Robert called to accuse me of trying to rip him off. I sent the tripod to him EXACTLY as described. It's in perfect working order...However, he was complaining that it wouldn't tilt correctly. Well, of course not...he had no handle on the tripod and didn't know how to change the friction controls on the Sachtler. I explained to him that he would probably need the handle in order to check it and use it correctly. He then started accusing me of trying to rip him off again. I told him that I was about to ship out the handle to him, expedited shipping. If he had reservations aboub the tripod, let me know now and I would refrain from shipping the tripod and he could send it back to me. Keep in mind, he had already filed a dispute with Paypal the day after the inital transaction...so my account was on hold for the $800.00 he paid for the tripod. So, he said he would call me back in a little while to let me know whether to send the tripod handle or not...I never heard back from him, so I shipped the handle.

Like I said, it arrived today. Check the tracking info. He received everything within one week of the transaction. And again, I paid exepdited shipping to get it to him so he'd be happy with the transaction. In the meantime, he sent me this email earlier:

Robert: gud one...smart guy... watch ur life and ur money..in less than one week u will lost 25times wat u stole from me..u should hv known that there r some people u dont scam. i refuse to report to ic3.gov.. i hv enough proofs..stored all you msges..recorded all our conversations..but i will let ur "karma catch up with YOU! tke kia- am just going to let everybody on dvxuser..know wat happened n beware of you and ur fake names! doing a reseach on u already! tke kia- robert

Sorry to hear the dispute, but I have to provide some background info from my experience:

I bought a Cavision Handgrips and Shoulder Mount - Red Rock Rails from Michael and it went without any problems. For me, it was an excellent deal delivered in time. I have no complaints.

I can tell who is right just by comparing your grammar! Ten year olds shouldn't be buying expensive camera gear on the internet.
 
I agree that Elroberto owes Michael an apology , but also michael keeps doing strange things too.

If you want to sell things, sell they complete and ship them all at once.

If you do a search , you will know that buying from Micheal is not a smooth sailing thing. He is always on the road as he claims ,so he can't write back to you after you give him the money.

Sure he sends his things to his buyers, but has a poor history of communication. and he has also one bad transaction with an indonesia guy which he finally return the money after a few months.

So if you want to buy from him, just know what what you are in for. You'll get your things in the end, but it not going be smooth transaction...

and Elroberto ,I guess English is not your native language. Just make peace , you got your tripod. unless there is something else missing like the English manual...

Just to add for what it is worth. I recently sold a Marshall monitor to Michael aka Purplebandalero. After I shipped it, I stumbled across some previous complaints about him and got nervous. Afraid he would try to con me. But he paid fine, received to monitor, and sent a note to confirm he got it fine, and there was no issues. I know this is selling to him, but I am always afraid of someone trying to claim I sent them faulty gear, or sending a brick and trying to do a chargeback. But he did none of the above.

I hate to see a fellow legit user get their name ruined. So for what it is worth, I had a fine experience.
